Italian heavy-duty vehicles maker Fiat expects the revenue to rise 5% in 2013 with the acquisition of the US-based farm and construction equipment maker, CNH.

The company invested EUR197m to acquire 25% of the CNH shares, following which the total debt has increased to EUR1.6bn.

Fiat chairman Sergio Marchionne said that he expects the new company will be listed on the New York Stock Exchange early in the third quarter.

"Fiat Industrial shareholders will meet in April to vote on the deal," Marchionne added.

The company expects to repay the debt to between EUR1.1bn and EUR1.4bn in 2013 as it forecasts the revenues to reach EUR1.5bn in the year.

CNH is a Chicago-based company that sells farm and construction equipment under the Case and New Holland brands in 170 countries.

The firm has reported 20% increase in the fourth-quarter profits to EUR148m in 2012, on revenues of EUR7bn.
